Provide emergency shelter, food and support services to individuals and families who are homeless, while they work toward independence and integration into community life. Some participants need short-term housing as a result of a situational crisis. Others need support services while they work to establish permanent housing.

24 hours/7 days a week; after 9:00 pm - need police referral.

Shelter Requirements:

A. 18 years of age, legally emancipated or accompanied by a legal guardian.
B. Employable. If disabled, have a source of income or the ability and desire to attain income that allows client to live independently.
C. Homeless with no alternative for shelter.
D. Willing to sign a contract to abide by program rules and regulations to achieve independence.
E. Willing and able to assist in maintaining the building by completing daily chores and work programs.
F. If suffering from domestic violence, all other shelter options must be exhausted.
G. Established residency in approved Diocese of Joliet counties prior to requesting shelter. Residenency documentation must be provided within three days of enrollment. Clients from outside these counties will be admitted for a 3-night stay.
H. Clients must be sober and chemical free or willing to be assessed for a treatment program.
I. Identification or Joliet Police Department clearance.
